ECODE is a Spanish organization, partnering CCC and AECID to implement the project (www.ecode.es)
ECODE’s support to the NGO-GPP project includes:
Enhancing the capacities of Cambodian organizations funded by the Spanish Cooperation for improving their strategy thinking and preparing/revising their strategy plans.
For that, CCC and ECODE organized a “Strategy Planning” workshop in July 2009 with 12 Cambodian organizations that showed a real interest in drawing or revising their own Strategy Plans. This website has been conceived to support and follow-up all those organizations during this process after the workshop.
Enhancing the capacities of Cambodian organizations funded by Spanish Cooperation for project management and evaluation.
A new workshop on Project Management and Evaluation will take place in Phnom Penh before the end of 2009, hopefully, with the same organizations that participated in the Strategy Planning workshop, but other organizations are also welcome. This website will be available during 3 months after the end of workshop, for all those participants that will require ECODE’s technical support while writing down their own project proposals.
Supporting CCC to interact with other similar initiatives and to disseminate the certification and its importance.
A delegation of the CCC has visited similar initiatives in India during the month of July, and are expecting to visit Spain and the Philippines very soon.
This project does not aim at providing funds for concrete project proposals from the participants.
ECODE is not the one that approves project proposals, or even recommends project proposals for approval: only AECID and/or Spanish NGOs can do it. But improving strategy plans, project management skills and becoming certified by NGO-GPP can ease the approval of projects by AECID/Spanish NGOs (or other donors).
Any Cambodian Organization directly funded by the Spanish Cooperation or partnering a Spanish NGO funded by the Spanish Cooperation is welcome to join us in this project.
